mUSiC-works!
A select group of graduate students at the University of Southern California have created an innovative performance group called
mUSiC-works!

From left to right: Julia I, Hiroko Kunitake, Susan J.S. Kim, Yolanda Liepa, Linda S. Mazich, Frances Scott, Clay Tison, Tony Olson, Eva Peng, and Jamak Khazra. All are performance majors, currently enrolled in M.Mus. or D.M.A. degree programs at the U.S.C. School of Music.
mUSiC-works in action:
Through superlative artistry and an uncommon ability to communicate through words and music, these artists present programs geared toward attracting and encouraging first time listeners to classical music. Through entertaining, enriching stories about composers and their musical and historical environments, mUSiC-works artists can bring classical music to settings in communities throughout the USA:
Community Concerts
School Assembly Programs
Programs for Social and Service Organizations
Corporate "Lunch and Learn" Programs for Employees
Presentations at Book Stores and Music Stores
Master Classes and Keyboard Workshops for Music Students
Consider the advantages of arranging for a mUSiC-works artist to fulfill more than one service in your community. Successful combinations include a daytime school program and an evening recital for parents and others in the community; or a recital plus a master class for a local college. Under the sponsorship of the University of Southern California, these artists' services are very affordable. For booking information for 1996 please contact:
